Adding Value to Design, Analysis, Operation & Environments

Capacity Building

Institues and organizations have a constant need of growing in their functions, reviewing their structure and governance and building-up skills of their employees. This is all the more necessary today for various compelling reasons. Key among these reasons are: faster rate of technology development, greater mobility of employees and the changing functional requirement of the deliveries by the end users and the society at large. Coastal engineering is undergoing rapid change in many countries including India. Management of existing coastal assets as well as design and construction of new coastal ones need integrating enviornmental management, Nature-Based Solutions, Social and Economic impacts and benefits to the planning, analysis, execution and operation. This ambition is further complicated by the impacts of climate change. The all-to-well embraced Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the population, corporations and the governments make it imperative to give this face-lift to the engineering practices. The agencies in charge of coastal engineering at the state levels, like the public works department or the Maritime Boards, as well as many professional service providers are yet to catch up to this trend beyond the traditional 'grey' engineering. It is our belief at SYSTEM2C that we can support our clients, government agencies or professional service providers, and bring higher values to their products and deliverables through our capacity building services. Understanding of continuous advances in the sciene and technology of and higher expectations of sustainable practice in coastal and offshore practices are at the core of our capacity building services. Three primary components of our capacity building services are

We recognise that adaptability to advances in knowledge and practice is a key factor for an organisation's ability to continue to carry out its mandate and enhance its competitiveness. As we keep investing ourselves in this direction, we like to share this with our clients. Our 'Institutional Review and Capacity Strengthening Plan' services makes actionable recommendations on both soft skills, digital and instrumentaional infrastructure and governance. We develop this in consultation with our clients understanding their targets, the limits to which the ambitions of their targets may be extended. Together with a vision, we present a phased plan in keeping with their financial and operational aspirations.
