SYSTEM2C
Engineering for Sea and Shore
Adding Value to Design, Analysis, Operation & EnvironmentsRenewable Energy
Coastal and marine environment provides significant potential for renewable energy, whether the source is solar, wind or hydrogen. System2C provides several services in this sector. These services are (a) metocean statistics for design evaluations, (b) operational forecasting of marine environments at the site, (c) pipeline/cable interactions with the seabed and (d) thermal impacts of floating solar plants.
Our services also include assessing environmental risks due to the installation of the energy generation devices and the climate change risks on the renewable energy systems.
An uniquely interesting area of engineering sustainability is the mobile bed interaction with laid pipelines and cables. The sea-bed is highly mobile. Ripples, mega-ripples and giant sand waves are dynamically generated at a location and its understanding and quantification is critical to the stability of the laid pipelines and power cables from the offshore wind tower.
System2C brings in a very unique combination of knowledge and insight to support the engineering, operation and maintenance planning of marine renewable sector in quantifying the response of the coastal and marine environments and climate risks. System2C can also support the climate risk assessment of onshore wind turbines.
